if you want REAL HAWAII hotel with lush grounds all around you (and not the typical concrete parking lot) average pool with a Tiki Bar (hawaiian music all day long) and fabulous beach without the crowds.... this is the place. Friendly staff, great mai tais, excellent restaurant. One of the best Luau's on the island nestled in the back of the property. the cottages and hotel have been renovated to 4 star ratings. beds are comfy, plenty of towels, always hot water, lots of counter space. the cottages are ground floor where u can choose from golf fairway view or ocean front. the path along the beach takes you into Whaler Village so you don't have to drive or take the shuttle. this place is HEAVEN on earth.

Had a great time
07/03/2007Other than the outdated carpet and furniture, the hotel was great for the price. elevators were very slow.

We were greeted with friendly staff. The Bell Hop was very helpful. Rooms are a little dated. But for the price and location to Strip and Beach, it was well worth it. Parking at $12 a day, seems expensive, but compared with hotels in area, this was the cheapest.

As expected on my 1st trip to Hawaii we were greeted in the lobby by friendly faces when we checked in. But what I hadn't expected was dirty carpet trimmed in duct tape on the floor of the elevator. The hallway was musty. The room could use a total makeover or at the very least a really good cleaning & a fresh coat of paint. The view from our balcony was of the backs of other hotel balconies. Fortunately we only stayed 1 night.
