We stayed overnight in March 2010 waiting for an international flight to Australia and were in a dirty old room. There were fingerprints and food on the cupboards, the fridge smelled awful and everything had marks and dirt on it. Hair was all over the bathroom and the carpet was so stained, I wore shoes in the room. I was not aware any rooms were renovated as the reviews suggest so I would HIGHLY recommend NOT staying here unless you manage to ensure you have a renovated room. Also we waited 30 mins for a shuttle after travelling 14 hrs on a flight and were told when we phoned it would be 5-10 mins or we would have caught a taxi. Beware and choose wisely!

This hotel has free airport shuttle with friendly, helpful drivers and courteous front desk people. They have a restaurant and also a nearby delicious Big Kahunna pizza as well as 3 or 4 small food establishments in the same strip shops. They have a nice pool and outdoor chairs to sit around and relax. There is some road traffic noise by the pool but do like we did and get a couple of beers from the hotel gift/convenience store and sit out there and enjoy it anyway. The room was comfortable and 3 star at least. TV worked well and wireless internet did also. Next time I travel that way, I will stay there again.

I looked at the reviews and knew there was a chance that the room could be noise but did not realize the highway was built up to about the 8th floor. The good part was that the traffic slowed down between 3 &4 in the morning before starting up again. It was only about 50 feet from the room. The restraint was only open 3 nights a week and the free breakfast that was expressed as so good in there views cost me $*, I asked the server about it and he said that they had not served it since October. We went to the airport 2 hours extra early to get away from the noise, quality place horrible location. There is a sister hotel about 2 blocks away that would be a better stay, at least it is at an on ramp instead of the main highway. If I had to do it again take the buss to down town.

Stayed Aug. 31, 2009, connecting through Honolulu airport, checked in late at night 10pm and had to leave again 5am: I promptly forgot the ac power adapter of my laptop and found out only after having returned to Europe (12 hours time difference), and phoned them: they had found the adapter, took down my address and sent it immediately, airmail, at no cost to me (they paid the US$* for airshipping!). Got it within a week - what a relief! - (it takes 2 to 3 weeks delivery time to buy a new ac adapter for this brand name laptop). Would I come back and stay there again: you bet!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was adequate. We only spent the night before our flight left the next morning so we didn't have a chance to try out the restaurant. There was also a fast food place around the corner. The hotel was close to the airport. We dropped off our car the night before and could have walked back to the hotel, but chose to take the shuttle. We did have to flag down the shuttle driver as he was in the far lane. But he stopped and we got on without any problems. The next morning the shuttle was ready to go and filled up fast even at 5AM. So I would suggest getting out there early. The shuttle runs every half hour. All in all it was an okay place to stay.
