Just returned this morning from staying at the Pearl. The staff were great to interact with and were more than willing to accommodate the couple of requests that I had. I was upgraded to a King and the room was huge. It was convenient to everything I was interested in doing, clean and the staff were very friendly. If you are looking for the Trump Tower then this is not the place for you but if you are looking for a great value, convenience and service then check out the Pearl. The only thing that I would change the next time I stay is that I would like a room on a higher floor on my next visit.

As with about any hotel in wakiki.....the city is a noisy place ......all night long...from the bars and people on the streets right up to the garbage truck collection every morning to collect all those beer bottles that you hear being thrown in the dumpster in that morning hour clean up. I was just a little dissapointed when we drove up to the front of the hotel and the entrance was blended withthe fast food snack shop on one side and the bar on the other. The picture on the website was true about a nice looking lobby, and the place was recently refurbished. The rooms were nice enough...practical. The location was very convenient. We did up grade to another room after deciding we didn't want to shake has with the tennants in the next building, so for $* more a night we could breathe in a little more air from the top floor facing the street, which led to the noise factor increasing. The price was right, but I think I might add just a little more glammor th2 next time...after all, we were suppose to be on our fantasy island...not downtown LA at a hotel 6. To upgrade to one of their other sites it would have cost as much as a whole other trip. We had 2 hours to plan this trip...so take the time to research any travels if you can. I must say the personnel was helpful...it was just that dang entrance that was a downer every time we had to go back in.

The Pearl Hotel is located in a busy downtown area. Parking is limited, but for $* cash per day we parked next door. Our family of 5 stayed in room 614, a corner 2 bedroom suite. Air conditioning worked very good, microwave, stove top, refrigerator, all came in handy to save money on food. There is no view of the ocean here, and the garbage trucks and construction trucks start as early as 6am. The trucks have very loud back-up alarms on them, so all morning you hear beep! beep! beep! over and over.... I wish I had stayed in a taller hotel with a view.

It was my first time in Hawaii. Hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. Great location! International Marketplace literally across the street. Beach two blocks away. Hotel located within walking distance from Royal Hawaiian Hotel and shopping stores. Being female and traveling alone, the only problem I had was the bar that was right next door to the hotel. At night, the bar was a little dodgey and customers hung outside of the bar, so walking back to the hotel put me on the alert. Other than that everything was great!...Had a great time in Hawaii!!! By the way, if you need transportation, tour guides, and or looking for a lua, I highly recommend "VIP Transportation", "Enoa Travels", and the "Polynesian Cultural Center." Excellent transportation services to and from airport and to the Flea Market. Enoa Travels, excellent touring of the island and the Polynesian Center, excellent for lua's!

I stayed here last year in 2008 and I am returning in 2009, the hotel was under renovation last year, but I did not mind at all. The staff was friendly and service was good. I am looking forward to seeing what there newly renovated rooms look like. This hotel is in the perfect location I can get anywhere in waikiki in a matter of minutes.
